NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New York City police are looking for three suspects accused of forcing their way into a woman’s Bronx home, assaulting her and stealing money from her safe.

Police say the 68-year-old female victim was sitting at her home in the Riverdale area on July 28 when she heard a knock at the door around 11:07 a.m.

She asked her home health aide to answer the door and when the 22-year-old woman did, three suspects forced their way inside and tied up the young woman, police say.

The suspects then allegedly assaulted the homeowner and stole $50,000 from the woman’s safe. She refused medical attention at the scene.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
