FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public’s help on Monday to locate two armed suspects who robbed a 37-year-old Uber driver in Fontana.

According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, located in the 9800 block of Sierra Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed a man approached a ride-sharing vehicle, operated by an Ontario woman, which was waiting for passengers at a strip mall.

Detectives said the suspect pointed a handgun at the driver-side window and demanded money from the victim.

The victim then handed over an unknown amount of money and left the scene.

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man in his 20s who has a thin, sunken face. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a large “F” on it, according to police.
